Governor Mead Signs Proclamation For Domestic Violence Awareness Month

On Wednesday Governor Matt Mead signed a proclamation establishing October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Wyoming. Domestic Violence Awareness Month was created in 1987 to promote increased rights and services for domestic violence victims. Nationally, one in four women has experienced domestic violence in her lifetime. In Wyoming each county has a domestic violence shelter program.
