Heavy Snow Closes Yellowstone Roads

Heavy snow and unsafe road conditions have prompted the temporary closure of Yellowstone National Park's South Entrance and Craig Pass between Old Faithful and West Thumb as well as U.S. 212 over the Beartooth Pass. It is unknown when the roads will reopen. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the park, with possible heavy snows at higher elevations through Friday morning. A 24-hour road information line can be checked for updates at 307-344-2117.
