Company to explore for gas in Bridger-Teton

A Casper company is looking to drill two exploratory natural gas wells in Bridger-Teton National Forest in western Wyoming. The proposed site is 22 miles northwest of Big Piney in Sublette County. The U.S. Forest Service is taking public comments on the plans by True Oil LLC. Forest officials say the area already has energy development. True Oil says it has held leases in the area since 1978 but the technology to get the gas didn't exist until recently. The company proposes to drill one well from an existing well pad and to expand another existing pad to hold a reservoir.
