The Bureau of Land Management Pinedale Field Office, in coordination with the U.S. Forest Service, is inviting volunteers to participate in an early National Public Lands Day event.. Shelley Gregory says the event will take place at the Warren Bridge Recreation Area on Saturday, Aug. 25th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Volunteer registration will begin at 9 a.m. at Warren Bridge Recreation Area Site number 4. Drive 20 miles north of Pinedale, Wyo., on Highway 191, turn right 200 yards north of the Green River Bridge and follow the gravel road to Green River access site number 4. National Public Lands Day began in 1994 with 700 volunteers and three sites.
Volunteers are asked to wear proper work attire and bring safety glasses and gloves. However, gloves will be made available to those without them. For more information, please contact Josh Hemenway at 307-367-5322.
