The City of Green River has introduced its new emergency notification system called CodeRed. Green River Fire Chief Mike Kennedy encourages businesses and citizens to get their information registered by going to cityofgreenriver.org.
Kennedy says the system will then call you back to make sure your information is correct. He also notes that there is no security risk for any information that you provide.
All businesses should register as well as those individuals who have unlisted phone numbers, who have changed their phone number or address within the past year, or who use a cellular phone or VoIP phone as their primary number. The City will be scheduling an information demonstration, verification and sign-up at upcoming community events, the Senior Center and other locations to help residents and to respond to questions.
