Employees at Cheyenne's Regional Medical Center have until mid-November to get flu shots or an exemption or they'll lose their jobs. Hospital marketing and communications Director James Watson said the new policy aims to provide a safe environment for patients. Employees seeking exemptions for medical or religious reasons must apply for one by Oct. 14. Employees who get exemptions will wear surgical masks at work. The hospital will provide flu shots to the employees for free. The hospital has about 1,850 workers. In Colorado, the Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins also requires employees to get flu shots.
