Tree Permits

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Kemmerer (KFO) and Pinedale (PFO) field offices have increased the price of Christmas tree permits by $5 to coincide with a U.S. Forest Service Bridger-Teton National Forest increase. This is the first price increase in 12 years. Evergreen trees up to 12 feet in height will now be $10, trees 12 to 25 feet in height will be $15 and trees over 25 feet will be $25.
Permits are available for purchase starting Oct. 1 annually. A maximum of five Christmas tree permits can be sold to one individual.
Additionally, prices for firewood permits will decrease from $5 per cord to $4 per cord effective Jan. 1. There will be a five cord minimum and a ten cord maximum per individual permit.
Permits are available at the KFO, 312 Hwy. 189 N., Kemmerer, Wyo. and the PFO, 1625 W. Pine St., Pinedale, Wyo. between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
