A former finance administrator for the Northern Arapaho tribe's Department of Social Services has been sentenced to five months in prison for embezzlement, followed by two years of probation. 65-year-old Melody St. Clair had pleaded guilty to embezzling from an organization that receives federal funds and aiding and abetting. She was sentenced Friday. St. Clair was 1 of 3 tribe officials accused of embezzling up to $175,000 in federal funds intended for needy families. Prosecutors had alleged that former department director George Moss improperly approved requests from St. Clair and former payroll clerk Amanda Addison for pay advances or loans from 2005 to 2006. Moss was sentenced to three years of probation, and Addison was sentenced to a year and one day in prison.
