Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office issues advisory on Livestock and Sheep Dogs

The Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office has issued an advisory concerning livestock and working sheep dogs. Detective Dick Blust, Jr. reminds motorists to be alert for livestock on or crossing roads and highways throughout the county.

Blust also says his agency regularly handles a number of cases where people pick up and turn in large dogs found in remote areas of the county, to County animal control.

County officials are requesting that people encountering large dogs in remote areas not pick them up, but note the location and notify the Sheriff’s Office instead.
