Wyoming snowpack falls below average

Wyoming's snowpack has fallen below average for this time of year. The Natural Resources Conservation Service reported Monday that the statewide snowpack is 63% of average. Last year about this time the state average was 119%. The NRCS says the Black Hills area of northeast Wyoming has already melted out. The most remaining snow is located in the Madison and Yellowstone river basins in northwest Wyoming.
