Man gets more than 11 years for role in meth ring

A 28-year-old Casper man who acknowledged his role in a multistate methamphetamine distribution ring has been sentenced to more than 11 years in federal prison. Judge Nancy Freudenthal sentenced Josh Harris to 140 months in prison and fined him $600. Harris pleaded guilty in February to conspiring to distribute up to 1.5 kilograms of meth. Prosecutors dropped two drug-related charges in exchange for the plea. Harris was 1 of 28 people arrested in May 2011 as part of a multistate drug ring that prosecutors say was moving 10 to 12 pounds of meth each week.
