The University of Wyoming is working to help college students who are military veterans obtain their education goals. The university and its Veterans Services Center are participating with 11 institutions across the country in a campaign called "Got Your 6 Education Pillar Pledge." "Got Your 6" is a campaign based on the premise that veterans and military families are civic assets and leaders who will reinvigorate communities. The campaign combines resources of the top American entertainment studios, networks, guilds and agencies with the expertise and commitment of more than two dozen nonprofit organizations. To set up military veterans for success in civilian life, the campaign focuses on the six pillars of reintegration: jobs, education, health, housing, family and leadership. More than 500 military veterans attend classes at UW.
