Wyoming finished 2012 with snow levels lagging below normal. Lee Hackleman, water supply specialist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture says the state's average snowpack dropped to 84% of median levels by Dec. 31 - down from 87% the week before. Hackleman says basins in southeastern Wyoming need to see more snow to catch up with the rest of the state. Last year at this time, statewide snowpack was at 103% of median levels.
