Unemployment

Sweetwater Counties un-employment rate jumped up a bit, however, the rate is better than it was a year ago----According to the Wyoming Department of Workforce Service, Sweetwater Counties un-employment rate in November this year was 4.2 percent, up from October's rate of 3.7 percent. Last November, the rate stood at 4.4 percent. The statewide average is 5.1 percent, up from Octobers rate of 4.4 percent. In November of this year, Sweetwater County had 25,114 employed workers, compared to 25,011 in October. so while the un-employment rate went up, the number of employed also went up----The lowest un-employment rate in Wyoming remains nearby Sublette county, at 3.6 percent. The highest rate, Teton county at 9.6 percent. The national un-employment rate stood at 7.7 percent.
