Green River Police officers took a fraud report on Aspen Street when a woman said she was contacted by telephone by a man who said he was from Microsoft and that her computer had a virus. The victim later received a call from a second man who claimed he was a manager with the company and the victim paid $499.00 to have her computer fixed. The victim paid by credit card. The victim later became suspicious and checked on line and found the company she paid to fix her computer, IT Solutions of CT LLC was involved in fraudulent dealings. She decided to report the incident to police. The officer directed the victim to contact her credit card company to cancel her card and to check with her bank to see if her account had been compromised. She was told to call the police with any new information.
