Wind, ice cause outages in Rock Springs, Cheyenne

High winds and ice have caused some power outages around Wyoming. About 1,200 customers in Rock Springs lost power Monday afternoon after winds broke a cross-arm at the top of a power pole. Power was later restored to people on Elk Street north of the Interstate 80 overpass. Cheyenne, Light, Fuel and Power Company says there were also some small, scattered outages in the Cheyenne-area Monday night.
