One Norovirus Case Confirmed So Far In Teton County

Health officials have confirmed at least one case of norovirus in Teton County and say other people who have reported symptoms may also have the illness. Norovirus is spread through contaminated foods or surfaces. Symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach pain. Teton County public health manager Terri Gregory says several samples from people who have experienced symptoms have yet to come back from the state lab, but at least some could also test positive for norovirus. She said that people continue to call in reporting symptoms. Health officials urge residents to frequently wash their hands, disinfect surfaces and stay home from work or school if they are sick.
