The Wyoming Legislature has approved a plan to redraw state legislative districts. The state Senate passed the proposal in a 28-2 vote on Thursday. The version the Senate approved was virtually identical to the version passed by the House. The House voted to accept the small changes made in the Senate, sending the proposal on to the governor for his consideration. The legislative redistricting is necessary to address population shifts in the last census. Some northeast Wyoming lawmakers tried to change the proposal but the bill didn't face major opposition at the Capitol.
