Pacific Railroad Company will be making repairs to the railroad crossings at railway intersection across Stagecoach Blvd in Rock Springs. Union Pacific will be installing
72 feet of new concrete surfacing and rail panels. The work should take about two days and is tentatively scheduled to start on Oct. 31.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation will be assisting in traffic control and will be
closing the section of Stagecoach Blvd. at Springs Drive and just past the McDonald's and Flying J approaches. Residents and motorists will still be able to access both businesses from the East. Local residents who travel Stagecoach to Elk Street are advised to find an alternate route or be prepared to detour onto Springs Drive during the work. Following the work on Stagecoach, the Union Pacific Railroad Company will also be installing new concrete surfacing and rail panels on Springs Drive. The work should also take about two days and is tentatively scheduled to begin on Nov. 2. Local residents who travel Overland Drive and Winterhawk Drive to Elk Street are advised to find an alternate route during the work. WYDOT would like to remind drivers to slow down in work zones, be alert and cautious of roadside workers.
