UW spring enrollment up 171 students

The University of Wyoming reports that 12,873 students have enrolled for the spring semester. The number represents an increase of 171 students from the 2011 spring semester and 34 students from the 2012 spring semester. UW Vice President for Student Affairs Sara Axelson says after all outreach school numbers are counted, student enrollment should again surpass 13,000 by the end of the spring 2013 semester. Spring enrollment normally is lower than fall semester numbers. UW set an enrollment record last fall, with close to 14,000 students taking classes on the Laramie campus and through the outreach school.
