The new president at the University of Wyoming says the school is "an anti-ivory tower university." Robert Sternberg started his new job last week. Sternberg replaces former President Tom Buchanan, who has retired. Sternberg said he envisions UW and its leaders as highly accessible to state residents and responsive to state needs. He says his priorities also include ethical leadership, student retention rates and collaborating with community colleges and Wyoming's K-12 schools. Sternberg also says he'll seek to boost faculty and staff pay to attract more talent to the campus.
