Wyoming tourism picking up, should surpass 2012

Wyoming is having a strong year for tourism, with visitors expected to surpass last year's mark. The state could exceed last year's mark of 8 million visitors, who spent $3.1 billion. State travel and tourism director Diane Shober says that Wyoming is seeing more hotel bookings and travelers who stop at welcome or visitor's centers. Those are considered the two best indicators of overall tourist activity. The number of travelers stopping at visitors centers across the state is up 25% over one year ago.
