Congresswoman Cynthia Lummis and other members are asking Defense Secretary Leon Panetta not to impose any cuts on America's land-based intercontinental ballistic missile force. The Wyoming Republican says that while federal spending cuts are necessary the ICBM force should be maintained at its current levels because of its critical strategic importance. Cheyenne is home to F.E. Warren Air Force Base, which oversees ICBM missiles stationed in Wyoming, Nebraska and northern Colorado.
