The University of Wyoming's Cowboy Joe Club announced today that Sweetwater County volunteers helped raise over $130,000 in just two weeks towards educational and operational costs of UW student-athletes. Sweetwater County volunteers also obtained 35 new members which will contribute to the Cowboy Joe Club “Drive For 5,000” new member campaign. “Residents of Sweetwater County have proved to be some of our best fans and supporters,” Director of Development Jeff Pivic said.
First time Sweetwater County Fund Drive volunteer, Allen Meredith was awarded with the Top Volunteer prize for his efforts as he obtained 13 new members.
The Sweetwater County Fund Drive was held from April 12th-April 26th and included 15 volunteers. The University of Wyoming Athletics Department and the Cowboy Joe Club ask you to continue to assist them in their “Drive For 5,000” Cowboy Joe Club members. Once the Cowboy Joe Club reaches 5,000 annual fund members they will be largest fund raising organization in the Mountain West Conference per member.
