Cheyenne Firefighter Accused of Child Porn Possession Pleads Not Guilty

A former Cheyenne firefighter accused of possessing child pornography has pleaded not guilty.

31-year-old Joseph P. Golden entered the plea Friday. The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports that Golden faces a charge of sexual exploitation of a child by possessing child pornography.

According to court documents, a Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation special agent received information in August regarding a Yahoo! user who had allegedly sent a lewd photo of a prepubescent female to another individual. The screen name was allegedly traced to Golden.

On Oct. 5, several DCI agents served a search warrant on Golden's home. The newspaper reports that authorities say they found the image of the child on Golden's computer.
