IBM Wins Bid For Cheyenne Supercomputer

IBM has won a bid to supply one of the world's most powerful supercomputers for climate research at a facility in Cheyenne. The National Center for Atmospheric Research says the computer is expected to arrive for testing at the new NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center next year and be used for research starting in the summer of 2012. Work on the roughly $100 million project began last year.
