Cheyenne Man Pleads Guilty In Sex Abuse Case

A former Cheyenne high school speech and debate coach has pleaded guilty to having a sexual relationship with a student. The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports that 29-year-old Jeremiah Lindsay entered an agreement with prosecutors Thursday to plead guilty to one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor. He was arrested in June 14th after his wife told police that she had found text messages to the girl on his phone. At the time, Lindsay was the assistant speech and debate coach at South High School. Under the plea agreement, Lindsay would serve a seven- to 12-year prison sentence. A judge must approve the agreement.
