The Extreme Trail Competition, as part of the fourth annual Mustang Versatility Trail Ride Buckle Series, is offering a hand-tooled saddle from Southwestern Wyoming Wool Warehouse to this year’s top-point winner on a mustang. Shelley Gregory with the Bureau of Land Management says that the 2013 Mustang Versatility Trail Ride Buckle Series kicked off on June 15 with additional events scheduled on July 13, Aug. 10 and Sept. 14.
Membership is not required to participate, but only members accumulate points toward year-end buckles and awards.
The Bureau of Land Management and the Green River Chamber of Commerce welcome new co-sponsors this year: the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce, Southwestern Wyoming Wool Warehouse, Stacked Heart Ranch in Farson, Wyo., QEP Field Services and Wamsutter Conoco.
