Green River Celebrates 30 Years of Arbor Day on Saturday

This year marks the 30th year for the Green River Arbor Day Celebration. Eric Roosa says that Arbor Day is a special time for Green River residents to celebrate.






Roosa says that trees will be planted, although not quite as many as he had originally planned.






The celebration will take place at 10 AM on Saturday at Expedition Island. The Girl Scouts will assist with the tree planitng, the Monroe Intermediate School choir will sing and an Arbor Day flag will be presented to the City of Green River.
