A deputy who shot and killed a suicidal Pavillion man at his home in February won't face any criminal charges. The Fremont County attorney's office announced Tuesday that a state investigation found Deputy Mike Hutchinson's actions were justified. Hutchinson shot and killed Michael Huff on Feb. 29 after deputies forced their way in to check on him about a reported suicide attempt. Later tests showed that Huff had taken a lethal dose of pills. The attorney's office says Huff first confronted the deputies with a knife and then barricaded himself in a bedroom. The deputies forced their way in and the barricade then trapped them all in the room. Authorities say Huff raised the knife and was moving toward a deputy sheriff when Hutchinson shot him.
