The Bureau of Land Management Rawlins Field Office is seeking public comments prior to initiating two environmental assessments for grazing permit renewals in the Upper Colorado River Watershed, 40 miles southwest of Rawlins. Shelley Gregory explains that forty-four livestock grazing permits for 104 allotments in the Muddy Creek, Savery Creek and Adobe Town areas are up for renewal, a process undertaken every 10 years.
Gregory says that public participation is a key component of the National Environmental Policy Act process.
