Wyoming Soldier ID'd as Victim in suicide attack in Afghanistan

A suicide attack in Afghanistan has claimed the life of a Wyoming Soldier. 45 year old Command Sgt. Major Kevin J. Griffin of Laramie has been killed along with Air Force Major Walter D. Gray of Conyers, GA and 35 year old Army Major Thomas E. Kennedy of West Point, NY. Authorities had said earlier that insurgents who detonated suicide vests Wednesday in Kunar province killed three coalition service members and a civilian. Griffin and Kennedy were assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. Gray was an air liaison officer and flight commander for the Fort Carson-based 13th Air Support Operations Squadron, which is part of the 93d Air Ground Operations Wing headquartered in Georgia.
