Two brothers will go on trial in the fall for first-degree murder in the death of a Fremont County man in 2006. Sixty-1-year-old Alan Brown and 54-year-old Vernon Brown, both members of the Northern Arapaho Tribe, were arrested May 28 in Ted Paul Barnson's death. Barnson was originally from Idaho Falls, Idaho but had been living near Riverton before his death. His skeletal remains were found in March on the Wind River Indian Reservation. Last week, a federal judge agreed to delay the case so the Browns' lawyers can prepare to use expert witnesses in the trial, which is now scheduled to start Nov. 11.
