A judge has sentenced a Fremont County man to serve 3 to 7 years in prison following a collision that left a bicyclist dead last August. District Judge Norman Young on Thursday sentenced 30-year-old Michael William Sniffin of Lander to prison. Sniffin pleaded guilty in February to a felony charge of driving under the influence causing serious bodily injury. Prosecutors say Sniffin was under the influence of marijuana when he drove into bicyclist Todd Richard Scofield in Riverton. Scofield died from his injuries. Sniffin apologized to Scofield's family at the sentencing hearing.
