A Gillette fugitive charged with dealing methamphetamine in Campbell County is now in custody in Rock Springs as the result of a traffic stop. Sweetwater County Detective Dick Blust, Jr. that at around 11 PM on June 1st, Deputy Sheriff Brad Freeman spotted a green Chevy pickup with a burned-out tail light while he was on patrol in the area of Gannett Drive and Foothill Boulevard north of Springs.
According to court documents, Urrutia’s charges stem from an undercover drug operation carried out by the Division of Criminal Investigation / Northeast Wyoming Drug Team in Gillette in 2010.
Campbell County officials were notified of Urrutia’s capture and his return to Gillette to face his felony drug charges is anticipated soon.
