Pushing a shopping cart can get you into trouble - if you’re pushing it down the street late at night and you’re a wanted fugitive. Sweetwater County Detective Dick Blust, Jr says that on June 1st, 44 year old Ronald James Valencia was traveling along Interstate 80 with a truck driver when the two apparently got into an argument.
The cart was loaded with Valencia’s possessions and he was headed for Cruel Jack’s Travel Center, where he hoped to catch another ride.
On June 4th, Valencia signed a Waiver of Extradition in Circuit Court in Green River before Judge Victoria Schofield. His return to California is expected soon.
